I found a new secessionist blog, DumpDC, which has linked to an interesting map displaying nations of the world which have economies comparable in size to those of each of the States.
California's economy is comparable in size to France, Texas to Canada, and some of the smaller or poorer States to third-world countries. Ohio, according to this map, is comparable to Australia.
I could live with that.
