This photo appeared earlier this week in Facebook. I'm sure some will find it offensive, but it is certainly the truth. If this country is to survive the next few years, we must bring our troops home and reduce some of the taxes used to pay for these wars to let us build up our economy!
The inscription on the flag reads, "There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people."

Amen, Thomas. Thanks for the post of this.
It's the truth of that inscription and the fact that it is the government that has turned American principles upside down that I find offensive.
I no longer pledge allegiance to the flag. I see the flag as a rag, a piece of cloth with no intrinsic value. It can stand for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" as invisioned by some of the founders or the "Land of Decree and the Home of the Slave" into which it has morphed. When others pledge allegiance to the flag, stand close and you will hear me say, "I pledge allegiance to the Founding Principles of These United States of America, and to the Republics which they created, Fifty Sovereign States, under God, divisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."
