Dr. Dobb's Portal, an e-newsletter for software professionals, reported a list of 14 "Grand Engineering Challenges" that, in the opinion of the National Academy of Engineering, would greatly improve how we live in the future.

The list is also handy for identifying 14 great business opportunities for Ohio in coming years. They are:

Advance personalized learning
Engineer the tools for scientific discovery
